HELP NEEDED - Planting day

You are invited to planting day in the Reserve at the north end of Lake Hayes at the end of Rutherford Road on Saturday 3 October from 10am -12pm.

QLDC have provided 300 native plants which will be used to fill in gaps and to replace some  that have not survived their first 3 years. 

We will meet at the car park at the end of Rutherford Road at 10am. Volunteers will take plants provided  to marked locations where holes will be dug ready for planting. Weed mats and protectors will be put on each new plant. 

The main items you will need will be a pair of gardening gloves and maybe a knee pad. Otherwise dress for the weather on the day, bring a rain jacket a sun hat and sun cream. 

We will put  on BBQ snack and hot drink at the end of the session.

If the weather is unsuitable on the Saturday, then Sunday morning on 4 October will be the back up day.
